Pierre Émond is new president of Trinité Golf, Spa et Sanctuaire
A new president and major shareholder will be welcoming the first wave of golfers to Trinité Golf, Spa et Sanctuaire. His name? Pierre Émond. Mr. Émond is a L'Île-des-Sœurs resident and has just become a major shareholder of the company. Although he did not want to confirm the exact opening date of the driving range, he agreed to give this writer a guided tour of the new facilities.
One thing is sure: work is progressing rapidly and golf fans can’t wait to start driving those balls. Pierre Émond is very proud of this project and did not hesitate to confirm that the new course will be “the most beautiful ecological golf course in the world.” Already the driving range is marked by its exceptional environment and its distinct architectural design.

It was actually by chance that Mr. Émond became president and major shareholder of Trinité Golf, Spa et Sanctuaire. He wanted to find out about membership plans and that is how he learned about the entire project and the available investment possibilities. He really liked what he saw and decided to be 100% involved in the project. Born in Abitibi, Pierre Émond is the president of Envirocycle, a company that manufactures composts which are sold in nine countries around the world.

He stated that what he has done so far for the project was accomplished within the perspective of the most rigorous environmental requirements and standards and he will continue along this theme. He intends, however, to ensure that each of the next phases will be undertaken with much rigour and vision Trees and plants will be carefully selected based on how they harmonise with the island’s milieu. He would also like to explore the best state-of-the-art technologies that can be installed in the area and he will oversee its operations and maintenance while respecting environmental standards.

Himself an island resident, he hoped that his fellow-residents are not too inconvenienced by the ongoing work which will continue in the coming months. He believes that it is in the small details that attenuate or eliminate such inconveniences. Even if he did not want to give the exact opening date as he wishes to proceed with a reasonable degree of prudence, Mr. Émond sort of said that the practice area will be operational in a few weeks and that nine holes of the course should be ready to welcome golfers beginning summer 2009.
